My Interests

  • Young Adulthood & Adulting
    • This is a hard time to come of age.  It can be difficult to preserve your sense of self and your values while at the same time navigating our productivity-crazed society and trying to carve out a space for yourself within it.  Oh, and throw in dating and relating in there, and you’ve got yourself a recipe for anxiety, self-doubt, and a lot more on top of that.  I get it, believe me. You don’t need to go it alone or make it all up as you go along–I love working with young adults as they launch into that big world out there.
  • Family of Origin Concerns
    • Nothing quite gets under our skin like our family.  Still, a key part of understanding ourselves is understanding where we come from.  I love exploring the past so that we can gain control of the present and move towards a better future.
  • Ethical Non-Monogamy (ENM) and Polyamory
    • Although ENM and polyamory are coming more and more into the public eye, there is still a large stigma against relationship styles that are not traditionally monogamous. As someone who is poly-informed and supportive, I consider it a duty and privilege to serve this community at a time when it can be hard to find mental health professionals who are informed and non-stigmatizing.  I especially love working with poly and ethically nonmonogamous individuals and couples because these themes provide a unique and direct way of getting at some of the fundamental aspects of human experience: what it means to be an individual in relationship with other human beings–what it means to be, and what it means to love.
  • Anxiety
    • We are living in an age of profound pressures and relentless stressors.  It is no wonder that more and more people are feeling the toll of anxiety in their lives.  Anxiety often holds a unique meaning and plays unique functions for each person, but it always serves to remove us from living fully in the present moment.  I feel privileged to work with people’s anxiety and thus to renew their connection to the self, the present, and the world around us.
  • I am kink and sex-worker friendly.
    • I will not stigmatize or pathologize you for being kinky or for being a sex worker. I know that this can add another layer of worry and risk when searching for a therapist, and if this applies to you, I would like to assure you that you are safe with me.

In addition to these areas, I am also interested in the following concerns.  This is by no means a comprehensive list, so please reach out even if you  do not see your particular concern below.
